Monty's Crush of the Week

Okay folks, I'm literally going on vacation over the next week, so this one is
going to have to hold ya for a while (but I will try to get at least one more
movie review in before I go)...

Gal Gadot
(Bubot, Fast and Furious, The Beautiful Life, Date Night,
Knight and Day,  Fast Five, Asfur, Fast and Furious 6,
Batman vs. Superman, also a model and Miss Israel 2004)

Well, the new Wonder Woman for the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" movie has been chosen, and here she is. Not my personal dream-casting choice, heck, I'd never even heard of her before, but then I don't think anyone official was ever really talking about my fave pick for Wonder Woman, anyway. This is 28-year-old Gal Gadot, and she's still a choice I can totally get behind. I mean, check this out...

Like TV's Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, before her, Gal is a former beauty queen, but she's probably best known for her work in the more recent installments of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise. Frankly, I've only seen the black sheep of that series, "Tokyo Drift" (and, hey, I liked it, but mostly for all the cool Japanese culture stuff and the cute girls in school uniforms).  Now, I'm psyched that they didn't get some big, butch actress, but rather someone I can find attractive too, ha, though I do get why some say Gal will have to beef up to play the role, based on some of the research I've done on her, anyway. Though, based on pics like the one above, I don't know, maybe she won't have to do much. Perhaps it's all in how they dress and shoot her. But, as good as she looks in pants, I still will be ticked if that's what she wears. C'mon, let's make this Wonder Woman look like Wonder Woman! I think this casting choice is a pretty good start. She might need contacts and some time at the gym, but I wouldn't complain much either way, just get her into something similar to Lynda Carter's old outfit, with updated materials, but no unnecessary material, ha! Anyway, congratulations on the role, Gal! I sure can't wait! Even as superheroes go, Wonder Woman was never a dream-date of mine, but there are a few versions out there that do get me going, and I can easily see Gal's is going to be one of them!
